Over the past five months, I’ve seen God faithfully at work, bringing much-needed clarity and direction to Christ-Centered Sexuality (CCS). It’s been a season of seeking, listening, and laying foundations — shaping CCS into the robust teaching and training ministry I believe God is calling it to be.
There have been moments of frustration — growing pains, roadblocks, and the slow work of building something that lasts — but even more, there’s been deep excitement as I dream about all that CCS can become and do. We are more convinced than ever that God is writing a story bigger than we can see, and we’re honored to simply follow His lead.
Here’s a glimpse of what’s been happening:
- Training & Teaching: We’ve launched an online cohort to equip believers in a biblical view of sexuality, traveled to YWAM locations to train young missionaries, and taught locally to help churches and ministry leaders engage these conversations with greater clarity and compassion.
- Building Team: To ensure CCS continues to grow with vision and wisdom, Sally Jo created a Building Team — a group that serves as both an advisory board and a sounding board as she navigates the development of CCS. This team has been invaluable in helping shape the future of the ministry. This building team consists of those currently serving in YWAM and a Church Pastor.
- New Blog Launch: The CCS Blog is now live! It’s a place of sharing authentic thoughts, raw conversations, biblical and theological teaching, pastoral care insights, personal stories, ministry updates and so much more! — all designed to equip the Church for today’s challenges.
- Building Resources: We’re working on creating practical, accessible resources that help YWAM bases, churches, and ministries build welcoming, compassionate environments for people navigating sexual brokenness. (I say “we” because I am working with someone who has a heart for CCS and wants to help develop CCS in various areas)
- Expanding Reach: I am receiving more invitations and connections with leaders looking for help — from navigating LGBTQ+ conversations to addressing pornography struggles — and I am encouraged by the hunger I am seeing for clarity, compassion, and sound theology.
Looking ahead, I am dreaming big: more trainings, more coaching, more conversations that help the Church not just talk about sexuality, but live out God’s heart for the sexually broken in powerful, everyday ways.
Thank you for praying, cheering me on, and standing with me. This is just the beginning — and I am excited to keep building, trusting, and dreaming with you.
Empowering you to care for the sexually broken,
Sally Jo
